thedailywhat:

Apropos Of The Previous Post of the Day: On May 20th a “group of artists from a diverse range of backgrounds” walked into West Village bodega Hercules’ Fancy Grocery — a local landmark at risk of shuttering — and bought every last item in stock.

With the help of the Lower East Side’s Fusion Arts Museum, they then repurposed the products they purchased “into a collection of conceptual art that questions our perceptions of value and celebrates the Art of Convenience.”

You can repurchase some of these repurposed products, complete with an “arty” markup, via the Store Buyout Project website.
